About this file

This is an Insurance Requirements document issued by Collier County Board of County Commissioners for the Watersports Instruction at Sugden Regional Park contract opportunity in Florida. The document establishes comprehensive insurance and bonding requirements that all proposers must maintain throughout the contract performance period. Key insurance coverages required include Workers' Compensation in accordance with Florida Statutes Chapter 440, Employer's Liability at $500,000 single limit per occurrence, Commercial General Liability at $2,000,000 single limit per occurrence and $1,000,000 aggregate, and Automobile Liability at $500,000 each occurrence for owned, non-owned, and hired vehicles. Additional specialized coverage requirements include Watercraft insurance with Protection & Indemnity endorsements for County-owned boats and Maritime Coverage (Jones Act) where applicable to the work performance. Aircraft Liability coverage of not less than $5,000,000 each occurrence applies if aircraft services are utilized under the agreement.

All insurance policies must name Collier County Board of County Commissioners as an Additional Insured and must be primary and non-contributory to any other available insurance. Certificates of Insurance must be submitted within five days of notification of recommended award and include a 30-day cancellation notice requirement. For contracts exceeding $200,000, a Bid Bond equal to 5% of the cost proposal and Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the contract award amount are required, underwritten by sureties rated "A-" or better with Class V or higher financial size categories. All subcontractors must comply with identical insurance requirements, and the vendor must provide appropriate certificates of insurance for all subcontractors. Collier County will procure and maintain Builders Risk Insurance on construction projects where deemed necessary, with premiums billed to the project rather than included in vendor proposals.
