About this file

This is an Insurance Requirements document for Collier County Board of County Commissioners' Tourism Research Services solicitation (26-8644). The document outlines comprehensive insurance and bonding requirements that all proposers must meet to be considered for award. The Tourism Division seeks a qualified firm to perform research and analytics on tourism advertising and promotional efforts, with historical annual spending of approximately $120,000. No specific response dates, due dates, site visits, or bidder's meetings are referenced in this insurance requirements document; however, proposers must demonstrate insurability within five days of award notification.

The insurance requirements mandate Worker's Compensation coverage per Florida Statutes Chapter 440, Commercial General Liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence with $2,000,000 aggregate, Automobile Liability of $500,000 per occurrence, and Professional Liability coverage. Collier County must be named as an Additional Insured on all applicable policies with 30 days cancellation notice required. A Bid Bond equal to 5% of the cost proposal must accompany the proposal submission. For contracts exceeding $200,000, Performance and Payment Bonds of 100% of the contract award amount are required, with surety firms rated "A-" or better by A.M. Best Company. All subcontractors must comply with identical insurance requirements, and certificates of insurance must provide minimum coverage for six months from the award date. The contractor shall indemnify Collier County to the maximum extent permitted by Florida law for liabilities arising from the contractor's negligence or wrongful conduct.
