About this file

This is a bid schedule document for Collier County's Immokalee Sports Complex Phase 1A Project (Bid No. 26-8624), a comprehensive construction initiative requiring sealed bids due January 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. local time, with an alternative deadline of February 19, 2026. The project encompasses construction of two artificial turf fields with complete infrastructure, including 2,200 linear feet of galvanized chain link fencing, two single swing gates, one double swing gate, two manual rolling gates with Knox boxes, six 20-foot soft net backstops, two fixed bleachers, vehicular rated bollards, sports lighting painting, and extensive site improvements. Additional work includes 406 square yards of 5-inch thick reinforced concrete sidewalk, 77 square yards of 6-inch thick reinforced concrete pavement, stormwater and sanitary sewer infrastructure with various pipe sizes and drainage structures, fire hydrant installation, potable water connections, soil preparation of 1,682 cubic yards, 181,685 square feet of sod installation, 26 canopy trees, 9 palm trees, and complete irrigation systems. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for December 12, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in Naples, Florida. The project requires substantial completion within 240 calendar days from Notice to Proceed and final completion within 30 calendar days thereafter.

The anticipated project budget is $5,000,000, with an owner's allowance of $312,000 designated for unforeseen conditions and owner-directed work through change orders. Liquidated damages are assessed at $3,201 per calendar day for failure to meet the substantial completion deadline. Bidders must hold a valid Florida General Contractor License, be enrolled in E-Verify, possess minimum ten years of experience in sports field construction, and provide five references with at least two from similar projects completed within the last four years. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract award amount are required. The contract includes potential additive alternates such as an electric rolling gate with Knox box and a planting irrigation water treatment system. All work includes a one-year warranty, and Collier County will be named as additional insured on all liability policies. Prospective bidders must register through the Collier County procurement portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/collier-county-fl to obtain the complete bid documents.
