About this file
This is a minimum requirements email from Orlando International Airport (MCO) regarding the Airline Technical Representative (ATR) contract opportunity. The document establishes baseline qualifications and prerequisites that interested bidders must meet to be considered for this position supporting the airport's Planning, Engineering & Construction (PEC) and Operational Readiness and Transition (ORAT) teams. The ATR will serve as the primary liaison between airlines and airport departments during capital improvement projects, requiring coordination of airline input across all project phases including design, construction, and commissioning. The position demands expertise in project coordination, technical review, schedule and budget management, and stakeholder communication to ensure airline operational requirements are integrated into major initiatives such as APM Replacement, Baggage System Upgrades, and Terminal Optimization.
The document specifies minimum qualifications candidates must possess, including relevant experience in airline operations, airport planning, or similar capital project coordination roles. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in project management, technical documentation review, and multi-stakeholder coordination. The position requires an understanding of airport operational constraints and the ability to manage competing interests between airlines and airport departments. Additional qualifications likely include communication skills, familiarity with airport industry standards, and the ability to work across multiple concurrent projects. This role represents a critical coordination function for MCO's capital improvement initiatives and requires candidates with proven experience navigating complex airport environments.
