PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This document is a Department of Defense (DoD) project description for building envelope/roofing work at a federal facility. The project scope includes the complete replacement of the existing roofing system at building 1771, with demolition of approximately 15,300 square feet of existing roof and installation of a new roof system. The new system shall include metal cap, flashing, pitch pockets, lead vent covers, drain systems, drain covers, and all incidental related work.

OPERATIONAL AND SUPERVISION REQUIREMENTS

The facility will remain operational throughout the entire construction period, requiring the contractor to conduct all operations with minimal interference to normal facility operations. The project allows for a streamlined supervision structure in which a single qualified individual may serve concurrently as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Safety & Health Officer, provided that person meets all qualifications defined in the project specification for each of the three roles.
