About this file
This addendum document provides questions and answers related to the White Horse Lift Station Rehabilitation Project (26-003), issued by the City of Flowery Branch, Georgia on December 15, 2025. The project requires the procurement of two submersible pumps designed to operate at 175 gallons per minute at 195 total dynamic head, rated for 460-volt service, and two soft starters (Telemecanique ATS48D62YU or approved alternatives). The existing equipment consists of a 47-horsepower Flygt pump and a 50-horsepower Shimaywa pump, with 4-inch discharge piping. The City is open to proposals featuring higher horsepower options (up to 60 HP) if no control panel modifications are required. Equipment must include chopper or cutter pump impellers designed to handle fibrous material due to historical rag issues at the station. The City welcomes bids from all qualified manufacturers and contractors, including alternatives to the specified Flygt and Telemecanique equipment, subject to approval by the City Engineer and Department Director. Installation will be provided separately by Pro Pumps Solutions of America, LLC under a distinct contract.
This is an equipment-only procurement with no installation services included in the bid scope. Liquidated damages apply, excluding work related to unforeseen conditions identified in the bid documents. The contract timeline will be established with the awarded contractor following bid award, with consideration given to equipment lead times and contractor availability. Complete specifications and contract documents are available through the City of Flowery Branch website. All vendor inquiries must be directed to Nancy Rodriguez in the Finance Department at 770-967-6371 ext. 111 or Nrodriguez@flowerybranchga.org, with unauthorized communications to other city employees potentially resulting in bidder disqualification.
