This is mainly for lighting portion of the project, when lighting fixtures are being grounded. Note:

each specification section is only applicable to the extent of scope of work for the project, otherwise, disregard.

Spec. Section 26 05 26 - Is a new EES required to be installed at the fence?

No, the scope of work does not call for a new EES. The only ground rods to be interconnected by 4/0 AWG bare copper are the ones across the gate posts.

Design drawings and pre-bid site survey provides enough information to accurately estimate work to be done. There is specific information you need, please let us know, we will provide it.

18. Does contractor need to furnish temporary fence during construction of new fence or demo of old fence ?

No, they do not have to.

19. Electrical suppliers informed us that Lithonia specs given for EPANL are being phased out and will not be under warranty, can we provide their replacement equivalents?

Yes, all material specified are for design purpose only, when awarded you are welcome to submit materials for review and the FAA will approve accordingly.

20. Some Acoustical Ceiling Tiles are missing in areas of lighting and Exit sign replacements, is contractor expected to replace or install new ACT Tiles in facility? if so can you please provide specs Missing tiles, and under sized tiles are very few and are covered under miscellaneous items. They do not constitute a significant portion of the scope of work. And yes, the contractor is expected to replace those missing few and undersized ones.

21. Referring to existing site layout plan page, KEY NOTES 1 states that the contractor has to move the new rolling gate 5 (five) feet from the original location TOWARDS the facility to increase entry delivery truck turning radius.

21a. We are interpreting this as to move/install new gate 5 feet back / behinds original position. If this is the case, there are existing Cement Bollards on both sides of the entryway 3-5 Feet behind the gate. In this case do you want the contractor to remove the ballasts that are in the way of installing the new fence? Or do you want to leave existing Bollards and install new gate behind it (if that is the case then it will be approximately 6-8 feet behind original gate location and not 5)?

This is a minor item that can be field adjusted, for the moment, assume you will demolish the bollard out of the way.

Yes, you can demo the whole fence all at once

Existing assessment is acceptable

25. Some testing facilities for concrete pour require 28 plus days to provide results, given that we need to test for every concrete pour we do, it is not feasible to do so within the allotted timeframe to finish the project. In this case will an extension to project be granted?

After review and approval of the mix design, construction can proceed. Testing results will be looked at when they are available and dealt accordingly.

26. Can we reuse existing grounding system such as #6 awg spanning perimeter of existing fence and gate as well as ground rods already in place and bonded?

No, the new fence is to have new grounding components.
