The document reveals specific requirements for the contractor, including providing their own menu software, maintaining a Nutritional Service Manager who is either a Certified Dietary Manager or Registered Dietician, and developing a custom diet manual for review by the State's Program Manager. Additional details include future plans for a new facility, potential use of puree molds, and the State's intent for the contractor to oversee food service operations while the State's Program Manager retains final clinical decisions. L.1.7 Office Equipment - The Contractor
Please clarify: Does the DJJHV supply the computerized menu program to the Contractor or is the Contractor required to supply, pay and maintain the software for the menu program that is approved by the DJJHV Program Manager?
The State expects the Contractor to have their own menu software, which they are required to pay for and maintain in order to create meals and recipes. MVADJJ does have in place Point, Click, Care with a food service module where the Contractor may enter in their menus, recipes and diet spreads while at the facility. This system is also used to generate tray cards.

3.2.Key Personnel
(A) Nutritional Service Manager
The site visit noted a Registered Dietician (RD) on staff at the DJJHV. If the Bidder has a Nutritional Service Manager who is a RD, who (DJJHV or Bidder) has the final decisions of dietary requirements of the residents? Can the State clarify the need to overlap RD roles within this contract?
The Contractor's Nutirional Service Manager (NSM) must either be a CDM or a RD. It is not necessary that this individual be both. Whether the Contractor's NSM is a CDM or a RD, the State's Program Manager, who is an RD and who is primarily in charge of clinical work, has final decisions relative to this contract. It is the intention that the Contactor will be overseeing the Food Service.
Standard Contract Terms, Section 3.8.A.1
23, 68 Is fingerprinting a part of the required background check process? Is the contractor responsible for this?
