About this file
This document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Orlando Airport Aviation Authority for the procurement of Ground Power Units (GPU) for Passenger Boarding Bridges. The solicitation seeks eleven (11) 400 Hz GPUs, specifically eight (8) 90 KVA units and three (3) 180 KVA units, with required commissioning and start-up testing by the vendor. The GPUs are designed to service multiple commercial aircraft, including models like CRJ90, B747, B777, B757, A320, A321, and A350, and must be mounted under passenger boarding bridge outer tunnels. The units must conform to federal, state, and local codes, be electric-powered, and capable of continuous operation for 20 hours per day, 365 days a year.
The pricing structure requires vendors to submit unit prices for the GPUs and commissioning services, with all charges included and delivered FOB destination. The equipment specifications mandate a minimum ten-year life expectancy, with spare parts guaranteed for the same period, and a minimum two-year warranty covering all repair parts and components. Vendors must provide detailed specifications including manufacturer details, cabinet materials, performance characteristics, environmental considerations, and comprehensive operation and maintenance documentation. The solicitation emphasizes the need for high-quality, technically advanced ground power units that meet stringent operational and design requirements for airport infrastructure.
