About this file

This document is an Amendment 2 to a Request for Qualifications and Quotations (RFQQ) issued by the Washington Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) for Crisis Respite Coaching, Technical Assistance, and Training. DCYF is seeking a qualified contractor to provide coaching, technical assistance, and training to community or Tribal projects that are building prevention crisis respite capacity within the state of Washington, specifically in the counties of Franklin, Grant, Grays Harbor, Chelan, Yakima, and others. The amendment provides responses to bidder clarifying questions regarding the solicitation, including whether the contractor needs to be bilingual, whether an individual or organization can apply, and whether a current DCYF contractor is eligible to submit a bid.

The solicitation does not specify pricing terms, set-asides, or funding details. It indicates that the type of business entity does not matter as long as the organization is registered with the Washington Department of Revenue. The amendment does not provide information about incumbents, the current service environment, or contract term and renewal options.

# Question received regarding solicitation

Response from DCYF

1. Is it an expectation that the contractor be bilingual to provide culturally responsive services.

DCYF has no expectation that the contractor is bilingual. We do not expect you to be able to anticipate the languages that will be needed. DCYF has access to translation services, if needed.

2. Is an individual eligible to apply (versus an organization).

The type of business entity doesn’t matter as long as the organization is registered with the Department of Revenue (DOR).

3. If an individual is currently contracted with DCYF, are they eligible to submit a bidder response.

The business entity would be eligible to submit a bidder response.
