About this file
This document is a comprehensive set of architectural and engineering construction documents for the Telluride Wastewater Treatment Plant Lab Upgrades project, prepared by Eidos Architects in collaboration with Bighorn Consulting Engineers and JVA Consulting Engineers for the Town of Telluride, Colorado. The project involves a three-phase renovation of an existing laboratory and adjacent storage room, with work scheduled to commence in February 2025. The scope includes expanding and updating laboratory space, adding windows to specific offices, replacing the existing roof with a new EPDM membrane roofing system, and making structural modifications to the headworks to accommodate equipment upgrades.
The project is located at 12000 CO-145 in Telluride, spanning a 3.247-acre site zoned as public. The renovation will include installing new mobile lab tables, a 48" fume hood, emergency eyewash and shower stations, rubber tile flooring, new electrical panels, and reconfiguring mechanical systems. The estimated construction timeline includes a permit set issued in December 2024, with subsequent responses to comments in February 2025. The architectural plans detail phased demolition and reconstruction, mechanical and electrical system updates, and specific requirements for equipment installation, ensuring minimal disruption to the existing wastewater treatment plant operations while modernizing the laboratory infrastructure.
