About this file
This is a Project Description for a Department of Defense construction contract located at Camp Lejeune and New River, North Carolina. The primary scope of work involves the removal and replacement of damaged sidewalk portions off Powder Lane on Stone Bay, Camp Lejeune NC, with repairs to any damaged grass and/or roads resulting from construction activities.
The secondary scope includes pouring four new 4-inch concrete slabs measuring 20 feet by 22 feet 6 inches each at MTI Reflector Towers 01, 05, 19, and 23 on the flightline at New River, North Carolina. Three sites require minimal site work to ensure level placement, while one site requires construction of a retaining wall and dirt infill. Each concrete slab will incorporate two 2-inch Schedule 40 PVC conduits built into the slab and extending 5 feet below grade beyond the slab edge for future use. The facility will remain operational during the entire construction period, requiring the contractor to minimize interference with normal operations. Supervision may be consolidated under a single qualified individual serving as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Safety & Health Officer, provided that person meets all qualifications defined in the project specification.
