About this file
This is a Statement of Work for exhaust system repairs at Building FC65, a mess hall facility located on Gonzalez Boulevard West, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The project objective is to replace the exhaust systems and associated ductwork serving three dishwashers to eliminate condensation that currently drips onto ceilings.
The work encompasses four distinct tasks across fans F-12, F-7, F-11, and F-6. For F-12, the contractor shall demolish the existing fan and ductwork, cap the remaining ductwork in the female head above the sheetrock ceiling, remove all wiring and control connections to the Building Management System (BMS), replace the sheetrock ceiling with a new access door, and restore drop ceiling and tiles in the adjacent hallway. For F-7, F-11, and F-6, the contractor shall demolish existing equipment and install new stainless-steel ductwork with welded seams, properly sloped from the dishwashers to new roof-mounted exhaust fans equipped with backdraft dampers. All work requires installation of new properly-sized circuit breakers, electrical wiring, conduits, and disconnects mounted on the roof near the new exhaust fans. New control wiring must connect each dishwasher to its exhaust fan and the BMS for monitoring and alarms, with each exhaust fan configured to run an additional 15 minutes after dishwasher shutdown. Additional requirements include sealing ductwork and conduit exit points to match existing conditions, relocating lightning grounding cables as needed, and installing temporary walls in the storage room to separate the work area from operational mess hall areas. The contractor must follow Combined DIV 01 DBB Specifications and BACnet Direct Digital Control Systems for HVAC standards. All scheduling and access shall be coordinated with the Building Manager, and after-hours work may be required to prevent mess hall service interruptions.

Install properly sized and sloped new stainless-steel ductwork, with welded seams, up to new properly sized roof-mounted exhaust fan with backdraft damper. Install new properly sized circuit breaker for new roof-mounted exhaust fan. Route properly sized electrical wiring and conduit to new properly sized disconnect for new exhaust fan. New disconnect shall be mounted on the roof near the new exhaust fan. Route properly sized new wiring and conduit from disconnect to exhaust fan. Install new control wiring and conduit connecting dishwasher to new exhaust fan and exhaust fan to BMS for monitoring and alarms. Ensure new exhaust fan runs an additional 15 minutes after dishwasher shuts off. Seal area where ductwork and conduit exit the building to match existing.
3. F-11— Demo F-11 and all associated ductwork from F-11 transition to the exit point on the roof.
Ensure remaining ductwork back to dishwasher is properly sloped. Demo existing wiring and conduit, including any control wiring. Install properly sized and sloped new stainless-steel ductwork, with welded seams, up to new properly sized roof-mounted exhaust fan with backdraft damper.
