About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for RFQ 24-2540, issued by the Muskegon County Board of Public Works in Michigan for the Pump Station J Overflow Wet Well Rehabilitation project. The addendum, dated April 1, 2024, provides updated bid specifications and clarifications for the project, with quotes due no later than 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Key modifications include requirements for protecting bypass pump piping during wet well interior coating, an allowance for potentially removing concrete fillets if groundwater leakage is detected, and revised bid review criteria that will evaluate contractors based on cost, coating material performance, project timeline, work quality, contractor qualifications, vendor references, and responsiveness to specifications.
The addendum specifies technical details for the epoxy coating, requiring a total coating thickness of not less than 120 mils and mandating a minimum of six destructive pull tests to verify coating adhesion. All vendors and coating manufacturers are encouraged to submit bids, which will be reviewed using the updated criteria in Section XVI of the bid specifications. The project is part of the Muskegon County Wastewater Management System's improvements for Pump Stations D, E, and J, with the work focused on rehabilitating the overflow wet well at Pump Station J. The addendum includes detailed site plans, sectional views, and engineering drawings to provide bidders with comprehensive project information.
