About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 issued by the State of California Department of Water Resources for Contract No. C51674, Specification No. 24-13, regarding the Full Pipe Penetration Replacement Deferred Maintenance Program (DMP) at Davis Sites 545 and 549. The addendum, issued January 28, 2025, revises section 03300 pages 4, 6, 6a, 13, 14, and 16 of the original specifications. The changes primarily concern concrete specifications, including temperature requirements (maximum 85 degrees Fahrenheit at placement), slump working limits (5 inches for both structural and transition concrete), quality control testing requirements, and curing specifications.
The technical modifications include detailed requirements for concrete placement preparation, batch plant quality control testing procedures, and specifications for curing compounds and blankets. The addendum requires an independent testing agency to perform sampling, testing and reporting according to specific ASTM standards, with personnel qualified as ACI Aggregate Testing Technicians. Test results must be reported to the Engineer within 48 hours of testing, with field testing results provided on-site the same day. The document requires bidders to sign and return the addendum cover page with their bid submission.
