About this file

This document is a presentation slide deck for a bidder's conference on a Request for Response (RFR) issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) for a Book Club Partner. DESE is seeking a vendor to provide approximately 15 copies of DESE book club selected titles on a quarterly basis, facilitate access to host an annual virtual author event, and supply additional books for DESE staff as needed. The RFR has a due date of March 17th, and all bids must be submitted through the COMMBUYS procurement platform. DESE is committed to supporting a small, independently, and/or minority-owned business through this procurement.

The RFR outlines that submissions from vendors registered with the Massachusetts Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP) will be reviewed first. DESE aims to award the contract to an SBPP-registered vendor if their submission meets the needs of the procurement. The presentation provides an overview of DESE's book club history and values, as well as details on how to register on COMMBUYS and access the RFR documents, including the Commonwealth Standard Contract Form, Required Specifications, and Evaluation Criteria Scorecard.
