About this file

This is Addendum 2 to the Request for Proposals issued by the City of Johns Creek, Georgia for the Cauley Creek Park Fiber Network & Camera Installation Project (Bid 23-065RP). The project involves the installation of fiber cabling, cameras, and wireless access points at Cauley Creek Park, a new city park currently under construction. The scope includes composite fiber cabling to reach cameras throughout the park, integration with existing fiber infrastructure including recently installed Corning ONE SDN at City Hall, and deployment of camera poles with specifications detailed in Appendix A. The project also requires CAT6 drops in the concession stand (Building 2) and 5K facility (Building 3), with CAT6 drops in the Parks Office (Building 1) to be provided by the city. A prebid meeting was held on February 15, 2023 via Zoom conferencing. Proposals were due on March 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM ET, with submissions required both electronically through BidNet and in hard copy (five copies of technical proposal and one copy of cost proposal) at City Hall. The contract term is sixty days from the Notice to Proceed, with an anticipated start date in early May 2023 upon substantial completion of park construction. The city is scheduled to open the park in May 2023.

The addendum clarifies vendor responsibilities and city-provided items. The city will provide network switches at all locations, racks at all locations, and hard ceiling structures in all buildings. Vendors are responsible for providing all cameras, wireless access points (specifically an Aruba AP-575 for the 5K building), Corning fiber optic cabling and termination hardware, Corning ONE SD LAN equipment, and illuminator rings for cameras. The existing recording server operates on Avigilon Enterprise ACC7. Fiber housing specifications include CCH01U/CCH04U models and CCHCS12A9P00RE splice cassettes. The project utilizes new conduit already in place with handholes and junction boxes, with fiber extending along Bell Road and into one park entrance to the main park office. No outdoor IDF is present on-site; wall racks will be installed in each facility. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and award contracts in its best interest, with all offerors required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and non-discrimination requirements for disadvantaged business enterprises.

ADDENDUM #2

Request for Proposals (RFP) Bid #23-065RP

CAULEY CREEK PARK FIBER NETWORK & CAMERA

INSTALLATION PROJECT

To All Prospective Offerors:

To follow is Addendum Number 2 for the above solicitation.

Questions & Answers from the recommended attendance Pre‐bid meeting held Wednesday February 15, 2023 via Zoom conferencing:

Scope Summary:

Section 3.1 in the bid packet is incorrect and from a previous bid. The correct statement for this project is the installation of fiber cabling, cameras and a few access points at the city’s new City Park currently under construction, Cauley Creek Park. This is a unique project with the city requirement of composite fiber to reach cameras furthest away. Goal is to reduce the number of switches, hardware, and cabinets within the park. The goal is to leverage composite fiber with our existing fiber infrastructure including recent installed Corning 1 SDN installed at City Hall. (Shared screen presentation), Fiber network cable runs along Bell Road Fiber will be extended in one of the entrances to the park to the main park office prior to the start of this project. Timeline, park is scheduled to open in May. This project will not begin until the park construction is substantially complete. Anticipated NTP to being early May 2023. Could change based on weather delays. New conduit is in place with hand holds and junction boxes to facilitate the future use of IT for fiber use.
