Request for Proposals (RFP) Bid #23-065RP
CAULEY CREEK PARK FIBER NETWORK & CAMERA
INSTALLATION PROJECT
To All Prospective Offerors:
To follow is Addendum Number 2 for the above solicitation.
Questions & Answers from the recommended attendance Pre‐bid meeting held Wednesday February 15, 2023 via Zoom conferencing:
Scope Summary:
Section 3.1 in the bid packet is incorrect and from a previous bid. The correct statement for this project is the installation of fiber cabling, cameras and a few access points at the city’s new City Park currently under construction, Cauley Creek Park. This is a unique project with the city requirement of composite fiber to reach cameras furthest away. Goal is to reduce the number of switches, hardware, and cabinets within the park. The goal is to leverage composite fiber with our existing fiber infrastructure including recent installed Corning 1 SDN installed at City Hall. (Shared screen presentation), Fiber network cable runs along Bell Road Fiber will be extended in one of the entrances to the park to the main park office prior to the start of this project. Timeline, park is scheduled to open in May. This project will not begin until the park construction is substantially complete. Anticipated NTP to being early May 2023. Could change based on weather delays. New conduit is in place with hand holds and junction boxes to facilitate the future use of IT for fiber use.
