About this file

This document is a Pay Quantity Note for the City of Midland Water Rehab Program 02, detailing specific line items and payment terms for various water, wastewater, and paving infrastructure improvement projects. The pay notes comprehensively outline measurement and payment specifications for multiple categories of work, including miscellaneous items (pipe casings, traffic control, labor markups), demolition items (utility main removals, manhole disposals), water items (pipe installations, valve replacements, service connections), wastewater items (main installations, manhole constructions), and paving items (concrete and asphalt repairs). Each pay note provides detailed instructions on equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals required for specific construction activities, with precise measurement and payment guidelines.

The document provides granular payment methodologies for each item, typically measuring work by linear foot, square yard, or per individual installation, with specific references to City of Midland standards and specifications. Payment calculations incorporate various factors such as pipe depths, main bury depths, additional construction complexity, and specific material requirements. The pay notes also include provisions for additional labor and material markups, stand-alone infrastructure replacements, and specific downtown area work, allowing flexibility for project-specific needs. Notably, the document emphasizes contractor responsibilities for site safety, proper installation techniques, and adherence to municipal engineering standards, with measurement and payment contingent on meeting these detailed technical specifications.
