About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for compressed air equipment procurement and installation services for the State of Maine, Bureau of General Services, located at Building No. 7230 in Limestone, Maine (Project #1785). The project involves the supply and installation of a complete compressed air system including air dryers, filters, flow control valves, condensate treatment equipment, a 2,500-gallon compressed air receiver tank, breathing air filtration systems, and carbon monoxide monitoring equipment. The compressed air piping within the compressor room extends to a point six inches outside the compressor room wall at the manual emergency shut-off valve. The equipment supplier must provide 16 hours of onsite start-up and installation support coordinating with mechanical and electrical contractors, one day of operator training, air quality certification testing per OSHA standards, and assistance with an Efficiency Maine Custom Compressed Air Application submission. All bidders must be capable of servicing the equipment they sell and providing comprehensive technical support throughout installation and initial operation.

Bidder qualifications require certification to test and certify breathing air quality per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134D and CAGI G-7.1-1989 Grade "E" standards, with a certificate of air quality to be provided before personnel begin using the breathing air system. The air compressors (two Ingersoll Rand Model R110N 150HP units) are provided separately under a different contract and do not fall under this section's scope. The document specifies detailed technical requirements for each component, including design conditions for the refrigerated air dryer (750 SCFM capacity with 36-48°F pressure dew point), filter specifications (0.1 micron and 0.01 micron coalescing filters rated at 800 SCFM), and flow control valve parameters (150-2600 SCFM capacity with 1 PSI pressure accuracy). The document excludes pricing information, contract term details, and bidding timeline specifics, as this section focuses exclusively on technical specifications and installation requirements.
