About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers clarifying equipment requirements for a secure audiovisual conferencing system upgrade.
The government requires replacement of existing equipment with new components, including a mandatory new camera (0001), a new FP-SSC-kit for secure SIPr classified audiovisual support (0002), and a new standalone Cisco Codec EQ non-radio codec with TAA-compliant part number CS-CODEC-EQ-NRK9++ (0003). Additional new equipment items 0004 through 0012 must be procured, with several conditional requirements: item 0002 (second SIPr kit) is only needed if the contractor determines the current kit cannot support adding classified teams as a second system; item 0009 is conditional on its necessity for incorporating SIPr team functionality; item 0011 should be purchased only if the contractor proves age-related reliability concerns; and item 0012 must have battery life remaining manufacturer time-to-shelf not exceeding three months. The contractor must provide desktop monitors, white noise systems, and credenza as separate line items with individual pricing. No licensing is required for the Cisco codec, and current firmware will be retained unless compatibility issues necessitate a funding request for additional licenses. The existing Freeport Room controller isolator will be retained. Question 4 indicates that additional details will be determined post-award.

Question 1
0001: Camera will need to be replaced by the incoming vendor (it needs to be replaced) 0002: FP-SSC-kit MUST BE NEW.
Note (0002): ONLY to be purchased if contractor determines it will be required because current SIPr FP- SSC-kit for secure AV cannot support addition of classified teams as second SIPr system.
0003: New standalone codec (does not include cameras and microphones and teams or Webex applications)
0004: NEW
0005: NEW
0006: NEW CPU
0007: NEW
0008: NEW
0009: NEW Purchase only if required for incorporating SIPr team’s full functionality audio and video into rom system.
00010: NEW
00011: NEW Note: Does not have expiration date. (Purchase if contractor proves reliability will be major issue due to age) 00012: NEW (Must ensure battery life remaining MFR time to shelf is not over 3 months).
Question 2
Cisco Codec EQ non-radio (purchase CODEC ONLY) Part number: TAA Compliant Non-Radio: CS-CODEC-EQ-NRK9++ Required licenses: NA I believe we will use current firmware loaded on codec unless compatibility issues arise with other equipment. If there are issues, we will have to submit request for funding to purchase licenses. Our system being AF is basically stand alone and not dependent on Cisco connection servers or apps like WEBEX requiring licensing.
Question 3
Yes, if contractor informs us that it is not technically feasible to use current kit for adding additional sipr connection for teams’ equipment, we will need 2nd kit purchased and integrated for SIPR TEAMS.
The existing Freeport Room controller Isolator will be retained.
Question 4
To be determined after award.
Question 5
Contractor will provide desktop monitors with hardware, white noise & credenza as separate options with separate prices.
