About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to the solicitation for Lamar Community College (LCC) project 2026-032M25, prepared by Schendt Engineering Corporation on February 20, 2026. The addendum addresses clarifications and provides documentation from a pre-bid walk-through meeting regarding the replacement of a natural gas line serving the Bowman and Trustees buildings at LCC's Colorado campus. The addendum includes four primary attachments: a pre-bid attendance sign-in sheet, responses to bidder questions and clarifications, a utility location map identifying irrigation mains, fiber optics, HVAC hydronic lines, and water mains, and a storage areas map designating available laydown space on campus. No revisions to project specifications or drawings were issued with this addendum.
Key clarifications from the pre-bid meeting address scope responsibilities, operational requirements, and site logistics. LCC will be responsible for relighting appliances affected by gas system shutdown and for purging interior building lines; the contractor is responsible for purging lines from the meter to building connections. Only exterior gas lines require pressure testing at four building locations (Trustees, Bowman, Administration, and CTE buildings). All potholing and boring activities, including spoils removal and off-site disposal, fall within the contractor's scope with no additional compensation permitted. Main campus sidewalks must remain accessible to student pedestrians throughout construction. The contractor must coordinate utility shutdowns with the facility owner 30 days in advance and may use any day or time weather permitting. Tracer wire continuity testing is required. Prevailing wage and wage reporting requirements apply only if the project exceeds $500,000.00 per Colorado Revised Statutes 24-92-201 through 210. Contact information for Atmos Energy coordination is provided as Thomas Gomez at thomas.gomez@atmosenergy.com, (719) 688-1603.
