The project involves furnishing and installing new DC power plant systems to replace aging components across seven buildings (95, 2579, 6079, 6642, 7030, B7254, and 7943). Primary deliverables include new inverter modules with DC disconnects, AC conduits and conductors with circuit breakers, new rectifiers with RPM modules and battery monitoring probes, grounding systems, shop drawings and product data (30-day review period), initial acceptance testing, and removal of existing equipment. Building-specific requirements are detailed in Appendix 1, specifying inverter system capacities ranging from 20KVA to 30KVA systems, rectifier capacities from 450A to 1200A, and quantities of components to be removed (MGE, ONYX, Galaxy, CE&T, and GE brand equipment).
The contractor must have minimum 10 years of experience installing similar DC plant/inverter systems and five years of experience with Tier III or Tier IV high-reliability data center environments. The project completion deadline is 365 days from Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $337 per day assessed for delays. All work, labor, and equipment are warrantied for one year post-installation. Special requirements include Davis-Bacon wage rate compliance, AT Level I awareness training, OPSEC training, security clearance procedures, work hours restricted to 0730-1600 EDT Monday-Friday, and electronic funds transfer payment upon completion.
