About this file
This is a health advisory sign document from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) related to public health and environmental contamination at Clark's Marsh. The advisory communicates warnings to the public regarding the consumption of fish and wildlife from the specified location due to elevated levels of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS). The document serves as a public notification signage with dimensions of 16x22 inches and was approved on May 27, 2021. The advisory recommends that individuals avoid consuming fish and wildlife from Clark's Marsh, practice catch and release fishing as an alternative recreational activity, and avoid contact with foam found in the area. Should contact with foam occur, the advisory directs individuals to wash the foam off immediately to prevent accidental ingestion of PFAS.
The health advisory provides contact information for the public to obtain additional information, directing inquiries to MDHHS at 800-648-6942 or to visit Michigan.gov/PFASresponse for further details and resources. This signage represents a public health communication initiative rather than a traditional procurement contract opportunity. No pricing, bid terms, contract duration, or vendor selection information is included in this document, as it is a finalized public health warning sign intended for installation at the affected location to inform and protect the public from potential health risks associated with PFAS contamination.
