About this file
This document includes a Construction Safety and Phasing Plan (CSPP) and details for a related federal contract opportunity. The CSPP outlines safety protocols for replacing the roof and counterpoise on the Yakutat VHF Omnidirectional Range (VOR) facility located at the Yakutat Airport in Alaska. It addresses coordination, phasing, areas affected, navigational aid protection, contractor access and staging, wildlife and foreign object debris management, hazardous materials, and inspection requirements.
The related federal contract opportunity is seeking proposals to replace the roof and counterpoise as described in the CSPP. Proposals are due by March 31, 2021 to Amanda J Garen of the Federal Aviation Administration. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all materials, equipment, labor and other requirements to complete the work. A firm-fixed price construction contract is anticipated to be awarded. The Acquisition Management System applies in place of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
