Subject: Questions and Answers Round 3

QUESTION 1: Will the servers holding the current content be transferred to us or do we include in the budget?

ANSWER: The time remaining on the current licenses may be transferable, but this will not cover the duration of the contract.

QUESTION 2: For the three remote trainings, does the CDC have specific requirements regarding delivery method, venue, and timing, or do we make recommendations as part of our proposal?

ANSWER: The contractor is to make recommendations for the trainings as part of the proposal.

QUESTION 3: How many learners are currently being administered in the SharePoint LMS?

ANSWER: There are currently about 1,000 who have been given access to the online training, but there is constant turnover in trainees within this group.

QUESTION 4: How many persons participated in the on-site training at CDC and where was the venue?

ANSWER: Two people from each grantee were invited to the on-site training held at the beginning of the PEMS software usage, for about 400 trainees. Training was provided in Atlanta, in a computer-equipped training room leased by the contractor.

QUESTION 5: Will there be a sandbox version of PEMS for our training developers and SMEs to work in and develop demos and simulations from? A flyer mentions "CDC training environment", but is there dummy data in the environment and will we have free access to manipulate the environment if needed for training purposes?

ANSWER: The contractor will be provided access to a version of the PEMS or other CDC-supplied data reporting software that contains “dummy” data and that may be manipulated by the contractor for developing demonstrations, simulations, or other training activities, if training on using the software is requested.

QUESTION 6: Do any of the deliverables need to be translated into foreign languages? If so, which deliverables and which languages?

ANSWER: All deliverables are to be in English.

QUESTION 7: Within the Adobe Creative Suite, what specific tools were used to create the existing eLearning (Flash, Captivate, others?) Are we expected to use the exact same tool set for future development?

ANSWER: The existing web-based training materials are developed and made available to grantees using web-authoring and dissemination software (e.g., Adobe® Creative Suite®, Adobe® Connect™, Microsoft® Office) for the development of lessons, graphics, narration, and other elements of the materials. This includes Flash, Captivate, and others as needed. Offerors are expected to use the same or similar, highly compatible software so as to maximize offeor access and ease of use.
