About this file

This is a Summit County contract cover document related to a procurement for pre-approved Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) construction documents. Summit County, a body corporate and politic of the State of Utah, seeks to retain an experienced and qualified consulting firm or individual design professional to prepare sets of ADU plans. These plans will be owned by the Summit County Housing Authority (SCHA) and made available to residents of Summit County to streamline the permitting and design process for accessory dwelling unit construction. A proposer's conference has been scheduled for July 27, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. via Zoom, with attendance encouraged but not mandatory. The contract period, effective date, termination date, and renewal options are not specified in this cover document.

Contract pricing, payment terms, and the maximum authorized cost will be detailed in Attachment D (Fee Schedule) and are not populated in this cover document. The contract incorporates by reference Summit County Code Title 1, Chapter 16, Summit County Procurement Rules, and the contractor's RFP response. The contract requires that the contractor be registered with the Utah Department of Commerce and in good standing. Execution requires signatures from the contractor, Summit County Manager, the Summit County Purchasing Agent, and approval as to form by the Deputy County Attorney.
