About this file
This is an Installation and Parts specification sheet for QuikCut PCD Diamond Drums manufactured by Graco, applicable to the Town of Parker, Colorado procurement for a GrindLazer Pro-HP DC10 Series scarifier. The specification sheet details the diamond drums used for removal of materials from flat horizontal concrete and asphalt surfaces and provides technical specifications for three product series: GrindLazer Standard Series (SMITH FS200/209), GrindLazer Pro-HP DC10 Series (SMITH SPS10), and GrindLazer Pro-HP DC15 Series (SMITH FS351 DCS). The Town of Parker is seeking a quantity of one (1) 10-inch PCD flat diamond drum, Part #2001725, compatible with a GrindLazer Pro-HP DC10 Series scarifier (Part# 571003, Serial# BA464, Series A12C, Max RPM 3800). The specification sheet includes component identification, cut width adjustment procedures, installation instructions, and cutter cartridge replacement guidance. The requested quote must be itemized on company letterhead and include all associated costs with delivery to Parker, Colorado.
The specification sheet provides comprehensive parts lists and technical requirements for all compatible models. For the requested Part #2001725 (GrindLazer Pro-HP DC10 Series), the drum features a 9.9-inch cut width, 7.0-inch drum diameter, 1.0-inch hex shaft size, and weighs 58 pounds. The parts list specifies 39 QuikCut PCD cutters with associated bolts and torque specifications. The document mandates the use of genuine manufacturer replacement parts only and establishes specific bolt types and torque values to prevent damage to drum threads. The vendor quote must include lead-time and warranty information, with the Town of Parker noting its tax-exempt status. The selected vendor must be willing to accept the Town's standard terms and conditions, with a purchase order to be issued upon vendor selection. The Graco Standard Warranty provides a twelve-month coverage period from the date of sale for defects in material and workmanship when equipment is installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with Graco's written recommendations.

• For each (3) cutters removed, this reduces the cut width by 0.75 in. (19.05mm).
• Always remove in incremenets of three (3), one entire row, to maintain drum balance.
• Removing an equal number of rows from each end of the drum will maintain the best drum balance.
• After removing the cutter, install the fastener back into location and torque.
• Periodically check the cutter bolts to ensure they are torqued to the specified value.
• Always use a new bolt with the threadlocking patch, or apply high strength threadlocker before reusing. See page 11.
• If excessive vibration occurs, STOP and investigate the issue.
* Populating the 7 rows between the two grooves will provide a 5.4 in. (138mm) cut width.

Installation

Installation
Cutter Cartridge Replacement Replace chipped or damaged cutter cartridges to maintain cut quality and speed.
1. Switch off and unplug the power cord or disconnect spark plug wire and black battery cable (electric start models only).
2. Remove the three, four, or six bolts and the drum access panel.
Avoid touching or handling drum after use until it has completely cooled. To avoid injury from unexpected start up, switch off and unplug the power cord or disconnect spark plug wire and black battery cable (electric start models only) before you service the unit.
10 3B0115F
3. Slide drum completely off of hex shaft.
NOTE: Recommended if changing cut width, or replacing many or all cutter cartridges.
NOTE: If replacing a few or less cutter cartridges, the drum may be left completely on the shaft, or slide partially out for easier access.
4. Once the drum is removed, inspect the condition of all cutter cartridges, shaft, bushings, and drum.
5. Support drum using a hex shaft, or a pipe, secured in a vise, and remove any damaged cutter catridges using a 3/8” hex bit.
3B0115F 11
6. Install the new cutter cartridge using the new supplied 7/16-14x1.0” or 7/16-20x1.0” bolt, or apply high strength threadlocker, such as Loctite® 271, to the existing bolt, and tighten to the specified torque per the drum model using a 3/8” hex bit. See Parts, pages 13-14.
Approximate threadlocker cure times:
• Patch on bolt: 95% -12 hours; 100% - 72 hours
• Loctite 271: 100% - 24 hours
• Loctite 271 with Activator SF7649: 100% - 30 minutes
NOTE: Follow threadlocker manufacturer’s application instructions.
NOTE: An adjustable wrench can be used to hold the cutter straight in the pocket.
7. Before installing the drum onto the hex shaft:
a. Check that all bearings are in good working order.
b. Remove dirt and material build up from inside drive carriage and drum.
c. Lube all metal contacts.
d. Ensure drum is installed with cutter cartridges in correct direction for cutting per arrow on drum access panel.
8. Slide the drum back onto the shaft.
NOTICE
Installing drum in the wrong direction may cause damage to QuikCut PCD Cutters, the drum, and/or the scarifier.
12 3B0115F
9. Replace drum access panel (lift up and lock into place) over hex shaft and secure hardware.
