About this file
The document is an E-Verify Requirement form from the Town of Palm Beach, outlining compliance obligations for contractors and subcontractors under section 448.095 of Florida Statutes. The document requires proposers to be registered with the E-Verify System and to electronically verify the employment eligibility of all newly hired workers beginning January 1, 2021, for both their own workforce and subcontractors performing contract duties.
The form stipulates that contractors must obtain affidavits from subcontractors confirming they do not employ unauthorized aliens, and must maintain these affidavits for at least the duration of the subcontract. The Town of Palm Beach reserves the right to terminate the contract if there is a good faith belief that the contractor or subcontractor has knowingly violated employment eligibility regulations. Additionally, a contractor terminated for such violations would be barred from future Town of Palm Beach contracts for one year and may be liable for additional costs incurred due to the termination.
