About this file

This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) cover page issued by George Mason University on behalf of the Virginia Higher Education Procurement Consortium (VHEPC) for Biomedical, Clinical & Medical Research Supplies & Services. The solicitation seeks vendors to provide biomedical, clinical, and medical research supplies and services for use by eligible VHEPC member institutions as part of a coordinated Research & Development sourcing initiative. The RFP was issued on April 10, 2026, with a proposal submission deadline of May 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. All inquiries must be submitted through George Mason's Bonfire Portal no later than 4:00 PM ET on April 24, 2026, with responses posted by 3:00 PM ET on May 1, 2026. Proposals must be submitted electronically through Bonfire only; submissions via email, mail, eVA, or in-person delivery will not be accepted. The primary procurement officer is Sara Siddall, Strategic Sourcing Manager, and the secondary procurement officer is Erin Rauch, Director.

The RFP provides two contract acceptance options: Option 1 allows full acceptance of George Mason's Standard Contract with no proposed changes, while Option 2 permits vendors to submit proposed exceptions and redlined contract documents with their proposals. No additional contract exceptions or vendor documents will be considered during negotiations unless proposed by George Mason. The solicitation covers multiple categories of research supplies and services being issued concurrently by VHEPC member institutions, with George Mason University serving as the issuing authority for this particular category. Communication between George Mason and offerors will occur exclusively through Bonfire, and vendors must ensure appropriate personnel have logged into the system to receive negotiations and RFP-related communications. Vendors must also indicate whether they hold Small, Women-owned, and Minority (SWaM) certification status.
