About this file
This is a Scope of Work attachment for a grease trap and oil interceptor pumping services contract between the State of Utah Department of Corrections (UDC) and a contractor. The contract requires the contractor to provide scheduled pumping services at nine UDC facilities across Utah, including correctional centers and community correctional centers, with pump truck capacity sufficient to complete each service in a single visit. Scheduled pumping occurs bimonthly or semiannually depending on location, with traps and interceptors ranging from 800 to 10,500 gallons in capacity. The contractor must also maintain 24/7 on-call emergency response capability with a four-hour response time for pipe cleaning, drain line cleaning, and video inspection services. The contract term is five years with pricing guaranteed for the first two years.
Compensation is based on all-inclusive bid prices submitted on the cost sheet, calculated on a per-gallon or per-service basis as detailed in the contract attachments. The contractor must maintain current business licenses, occurrence-based insurance coverage, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding waste transport and disposal. All contractor employees and subcontractors entering UDC facilities must pass criminal background checks and obtain contractor identification prior to work commencement. Invoices are submitted monthly by the 10th of the month for services rendered and paid within 30 days in accordance with the Utah Prompt Payment Act. The contractor is solely responsible for subcontractor performance and payment, and failure to meet performance standards will trigger a corrective action process that may result in contract termination.
