About this file

This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) issued by the Jordan School District in Utah in accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97). The document establishes mandatory compliance requirements for all vendors seeking to contract with the district to provide goods or services, including supplies, information technology, and construction services. Vendors must certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined by state law, and must agree to maintain this compliance for the entire duration of any awarded contract. The statement provides specific examples of prohibited boycotts, including boycotts of the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture, firearms manufacturers and distributors, companies failing to meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws, and companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries.

Vendors must execute the certification statement by providing their company name, printed name, signature, date, and the solicitation name and number. Should a vendor engage in any prohibited boycott activity, the vendor must immediately notify the public entity in writing. This boycott restriction requirement applies to the Career and Technical Education Strategic Planning, Workforce Alignment, and Innovation Center Study contract being solicited by the Jordan School District. All vendors submitting proposals in response to this Request for Proposals must complete and submit this attachment as a condition of proposal responsiveness.

ATTACHMENT B

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement

In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.

We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
