About this file
This document is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy Statement for a state contract that outlines comprehensive non-discrimination guidelines for contractors and subcontractors. The policy requires organizations to ensure equal employment opportunities and affirmative action practices that protect individuals from discrimination based on race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, predisposing genetic characteristics, and domestic violence victim status.
The policy mandates that contractors will not discriminate in hiring, advertising, or employment practices, and must actively document efforts to employ and utilize minority group members and women in their workforce. Organizations must include these non-discrimination provisions in all subcontracts and are required to cooperate with employment agencies and labor unions to implement these guidelines. The document is designed to ensure compliance with the Human Rights Law and other state and federal non-discrimination statutory and constitutional provisions, covering aspects such as hiring, employment advertisements, and workplace interactions.
