About this file

This is a bid information document issued by the Boulder County Parks & Open Space (BCPOS) Department in Colorado for concrete bridge approach improvements at the Niwot Loop Trailhead, located at 7901 Mineral Rd, Unincorporated, Niwot, CO 80503. The project addresses the deterioration of existing crusher-fines approaches to two bridge locations caused by steep grades that allow trail sediment to encroach onto bridge decking, creating public safety concerns and premature structural degradation. The proposed concrete improvements will provide proper drainage, enhance long-term trail sustainability, and improve accessibility for all trail users, including those with mobility challenges. Vendors may access the site at any time for inspection purposes. No pre-bid meeting will be held for this project. All questions must be submitted through the EUNA (formerly Bonfire) portal. The selected contractor will receive a Notice to Proceed (NTP) following contract execution and must not commence work until this authorization is received.

The selected contractor will be paid in a single lump sum upon project completion, contingent on inspection and approval of all deliverables by the County. Invoices must be submitted on company letterhead with specific details including project name, dates, work performed, invoice number, and amount due. Payment is subject to the terms and conditions of the Boulder County issued Purchase Order. All bidders must submit a W-9 form dated within the past 12 months with their proposal and, if awarded, provide a current Certificate of Good Standing from the State of Colorado authorizing them to conduct business in the state. Contractors are responsible for all applicable sales and employment taxes. All bidders must comply with Boulder County's standard insurance requirements as specified in Exhibit A, with current insurance certificates on file prior to work commencement. The BCPOS office operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for inquiries.
