About this file

This is a Payment Bond document issued by the City of Fort Worth, Texas, for the 2027 Asphalt Resurfacing Contract 3 (City Project No. 106794). The bond secures the Principal's obligation to pay all laborers, material suppliers, and other payment bond beneficiaries as defined under Texas Government Code Chapter 2253 for work performed under the construction contract. The project scope includes approximately 7,840 linear feet of 7" curb and gutter, 15,700 square feet of 6" concrete driveway, 709 square yards of 7" concrete valley gutter, 72,984 square yards of 3" asphalt pavement (Superpave SP-D), 72,984 square yards of 11" pavement pulverization, and 1,168 tons of cemlime. The bond is executed jointly and severally between the Principal contractor, a corporate surety authorized to conduct business in Texas, and the City, with the bond amount to be determined and the execution date to follow the contract award date.

The payment bond operates as a guarantee that the Principal will fulfill all financial obligations to workers and suppliers involved in the project prosecution. The bond is conditioned on the Principal's payment of all monies owed to payment bond beneficiaries and remains null and void upon full compliance with payment obligations; otherwise, it remains in full force and effect. The document requires certification of surety authority through certified bylaw extracts and mandates that the bond execution date shall not precede the contract award date. Both the surety's physical and mailing addresses must be provided if they differ, and contact information including telephone number and email address is required on the completed bond.
