About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) response set for RFQ 19SP1026Q0002, addressing clarifications on contract scope and technical requirements for what appears to be a building restoration or repair project at a Consulate facility.

The Q&A addresses six key inquiries regarding waterproofing, structural repairs, and safety modifications. The waterproof layer in walls must extend 40 cm deep. Emergency door lintel cleaning, repair, and protection are included in the Statement of Work (SOW). Contractors are permitted and encouraged to remove concrete planters at the stairwell to reduce water infiltration. A new handrail must be installed at the stairwell entrance where planters are removed; however, handrail replacement is limited to this location and does not extend to the entire stairway per the SOW. Additional photographs of the work area were provided by the Consulate via email attachment to support contractor proposals.
