QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
RFQ# 19FR6326Q0009 -TRANSIT FURNITURE RENTAL
US Embassy, France
1. Apartments and Families The section 3.1 mentions approximately 90 arriving and 90 departing families per year. Does this equate to 90 individual apartments, or is the actual number of apartments lower (our calculation suggests closer to total of 20)? Could you please specify the exact number of apartments in each location (Western Paris, Neuilly sur Seine, Boulogne Billancourt)?
The solicitation provides an estimated number of requirements and this is shown in the Pricing Table where we have put the estimated amounts for each service for a twelve-month period. This is an IDIQ contract so amounts may vary depending on need. The addresses are provided to show where the services are to be performed but there is no exact number of apartments per location as once again the number in each location will vary based on actual requirements at the time of order.
2. Scope of Rental Requirement Section 3.1 describes temporary rental of furniture and hospitality kits while employees await their household effects from Post. Should we understand this as the entire scope of the contract (i.e., purely transitional support), or does the Embassy also require long-term rental furniture packages beyond the temporary waiting period?
The rental of furniture and Hospitality kits is requested only on a temporary basis pending Diplomats’ HHE arrival/departure.
3. Hospitality Kit Requirement
Section 3.3 states that a “new, complete hospitality kit” must be delivered for each arriving family. Does this mean the contractor must supply a brand-new kit for every family rotation (short-term and long-term), or are there specific items within the kit that must be new while others may be reused?
The contents of each Hospitality Kit shall be new and complete at the time of each delivery.
4. Current Contract Details Could you please confirm the base year and option years or the total value of the current award, and the name of the current contractor along with the contract number?
The name of the contractor is HOMAT. The contract number is 19FR6321D0019 and currently in the fourth and final option year.
