Solicitation 19ER1019Q0001 – Satellite Internet Services Questions and Answers
Q1: Can you please advise the Wattage amount on the Terrasat IBUC? This part number offers wattage from 5W-20W.
A1: The IBUC is running at 80W. Incorrect model information was provided in the Q&As on 03/14/19. Correct product specifications are available at the following link.

Q2: Can we reuse the existing VSAT equipment at the Embassy? Or do we need to provide new equipment?
A2: The contractor may reuse the existing VSAT equipment at the Embassy, if the equipment works for the service provided by the contractor. Otherwise, the contractor will need to provide new equipment.
Q3: Do you require full duplex bandwidth, same download than upload, so 8/8 Mbps, etc.?
A3: Yes, we require equal bandwidth for upload and download.
Q4: What is your current bandwidth?
A4: 8 Mbps up/down
Q5: Could you be more precise about this “OpenNet Plus VPN” application?
A5: OpenNet Plus is the name the State Department uses for its intranet (VPN through the internet). The Internet Service Provider (ISP) must permit installation of Customer VPN encryption devices on the circuit.
