About this file

This is a Scope of Work (SOW) for automotive repair services to be performed by a mechanic shop on behalf of the US Embassy fleet.

The SOW outlines comprehensive vehicle maintenance and repair services including diagnostics, general maintenance (oil changes, fluid replacements, tire rotation, battery testing), major repairs (engine, transmission, brake systems, suspension, steering, exhaust), and electrical system repairs (alternator, starter, wiring, lighting). Work must be performed by certified technicians using OEM or approved aftermarket parts that meet industry standards. Initial diagnostics must be completed within 1–2 business days, with standard repairs taking 1–5 business days depending on complexity. The contractor must provide written cost estimates before work begins, including itemized parts lists, labor, taxes, and fees, with no work authorized beyond the estimate without customer approval. All work is subject to quality assurance testing and final inspection by a senior technician, with warranty coverage provided based on work type. Vehicles must be completely cleaned before delivery and cannot be driven by shop representatives without prior authorization from the US Embassy fleet coordinator. The shop is responsible for maintaining the vehicle's general condition, painting, upholstery, and internal mechanisms throughout the service period. Vehicles cannot be kept outside the shop facility before, during, or after repair. All work must comply with OSHA and local safety regulations, including proper hazardous material disposal. Customer and shop representative sign-off is required to confirm agreement with the scope of work.
