Is this an existing or expired contact?
What is the contact number?
Who is the incumbent?
This is a new requirement for the department. Public members have been used for many years, where PE would select the public member and then the department would pay them.
Now we are removing PE from the selection process, so for the first time this will be contracted out and fairly competed.
Section B / pg 5 of 53 Per B-008 TRAVEL COSTS - is there any foreign travel for this requirement?
No
Section C / pg 10 of 53 Per Section 7 Place of Performance, the PWS states the First 2 weeks on-site at the SA-22 location in Washington DC - Is this for all 25 Public Member candidates to take part in training? And is this schedule fixed to begin on MONDAY MAY 15, 2023?
No - May 17th.
Section C / pg 10 of 53 If the first 2 weeks on-site is for training, what happens in the event the 5-10 bench candidates need to backfill for the first 25 candidates? Is there online training those candidates can do while on telework?
If the Government musts pull from these 5-10 bench candidates, we will offer either online training and/or bring them in to train individually.
Section C - Part 12 Telework and Part 13 GFP / pg 12 of 53 What are the systems our candidates will be granted access to?
Are there any other requirements (security, bandwidth, etc)we need to ensure our candidates can meet from a telework environment standpoint?
Public members will be issued a state dept laptop and required badge at the start of the 2 week on-site training.
Both to be returned at the end of their service on the board. Board members will need internet access at the alternate work site. Board members will be provided access to OpenNet, eBoards, MS Team, email, WebEX, as needed for collaboration.
Section C - Part 11 / pg 11 of 53 Per Section 11 TIME OF PERFORMANCE, it states "Annually the first boards commence on approximately May 15 and remain full time Monday through Friday until approximately August 15." It further states "Depending on their caseload, the Boards can meet from four to nine weeks for a minimum of 40 hours per week."
Please advise if the schedule is anticipated to be a consecutive 4-9 week period as the MAY 15 to AUG 15 date range is approximately 13-14 weeks?
Yes, consecutive weeks. Note: some working hours may be outside normal EST 9-5 buisness hours as needed based on time zones of other board members.
