Question Set #4 Question: Can you confirm that the claims you are referring to for each country are on a paid or incurred basis?
If they are “incurred” it would mean that you have projected reserves for claims which have happened in x period of time even though you have not reimbursed them yet (to the medical facility, to the member…) If they are “paid” it would mean that they are no outstanding claims to be paid and that they are all settled in the x period.
Response: all claims cited in the RFP are calculated on paid basis, since Post is directly reimbursing medical claims to the employee, we don’t project incurred costs but simply pay as we go.
