A#1: Please see Section J on page # 61. The number of our employees will be between 265–282.
Q#2: What is the minimum limit for disability groups?
A#2: The minimum limit for disability is 300.00 manat monthly for Group I,
250.00 manat monthly for Group II and 180.00 manat for Group III. The company must provide payment upon receipt of the proper document providing the disability of any person.
Q#3: Do you have any maximum limit for disability payment?
A#3: There is no maximum disability payment. The above-mentioned rates are established by Azerbaijani Government.
Q#4: Please advise if the Embassy has general exclusion for the life insurance?
A#4: All conditions and limitations are written in paragraph C.2.6.
Q#5: Does the Embassy consider any life insurance coverage for critical diseases under this contract?
A#5: No, because the Embassy has a separate Medical Insurance contract for local staff which covers medical diseases.
Q#6: Will the retirees will be covered by the life insurance contract?
A#6: It was clarified that retirees mentioned paragraph C.2.8. of the solicitation refers to employees who are separated from employment with U.S. Embassy Baku. They should not be confused with the current Embassy employees who receive retirement pensions from the local government. All current employees of the Embassy regardless of their age will be covered by the Life Insurance contract.
Q#7: Might it be better to pay a lump sum instead of monthly payments for disability?
A#7: The plan’s terms and conditions were developed by Department of State based on local legislation and the Embassy cannot change them.
Q#8: Is the disability payment maximum limit due to local legislation?
A#8: Under the current RFQ there is no such limit. The Embassy asked the representative of the company who asked this question to share a copy of this legislation for review.
