Solicitation No. 191NLE23Q0012 INL Narcotics Incinerator Questions 3
1. Who is opening the roof to allow crane to set the stack? Who repairs roof after stack is set?
Royal Bahamas Police Force maintenance Section
2. What is the roof construction?
Asphalt Shingles and plywood
3. NFPA dictates 18” clearance from stack shell to any wood. Please advise if this is in place?
Yes it is in place
4. NFPA dictates 10 ft. of stack above roof line so stack needs to be higher.
Yes 10ft of stack above roof line can be accommodated
5. The total system capacity is stated at 1.5MM Btu/hr, but the burner capacity for the secondary chamber is also stated at 1.5 MM Btu/hr. This is an obvious discrepancy. Based on our calculations for the advanced design of our incinerators, we believe that the burner capacity for the primary chamber should be higher and the burner capacity for the secondary chamber should be lower while still meeting the minimum requirement of the total system capacity being 1.5MM Btu/hr.
Since every manufacturer design is different, we recommend allowing us to size the burner capacities for what is most efficient for our systems to meet your criteria as long as we meet the minimum requirements of the total system capacity being 1.5MM Btu/hr. Is this acceptable?
Yes it is acceptable
6. We believe the combustion air requirements, specifically the 18” W.C. pressure is not correct for our system design. Similar to the burner capacity, since every manufacturer design is different, we recommend allowing us to size the combustion air blower for what is most efficient for our systems to meet your criteria. Is this acceptable?
Yes it is acceptable
