About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for solicitation 191BWC26R0004 regarding glycerin procurement. The document provides detailed operational and logistical information about glycerin delivery requirements, including laboratory testing methods (AOAC 977.20, ASTM 8I755), delivery specifications, and facility protocols. Key details include a 7-10 day turnaround for laboratory test results, flexible delivery schedules with task orders issued two weeks in advance, and split order expectations.

Critical operational parameters include deliveries during 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM MST, driver hookup to 3" cam-lock fittings, plant operator acceptance, and contractor responsibility for spill response. Pricing terms indicate a preference for fixed pricing over five years, with invoices processed within 30 days through IPP. The facility accepts refined glycerin with advance notice, requires site-specific training for tanker drivers, and has historically maintained glycerol content above 70%. Communication will be per delivery, with the field office requesting deliveries as needed.
