About this file

This document appears to be a solicitation or bid document for glycerin, containing key procurement details. The solicitation involves glycerin with a current price of $3.40 per gallon and $0.07 per pound for delivery. The bid is being released prior to the anticipated contract end to prevent a break in service. Bidders will be evaluated on past performance, which includes assessment of quality, timeliness, cost control, business relations, and compliance with contract requirements. Past performance will be tracked through the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS), references, questionnaires, and government databases like SAM.gov and FAPIIS.

The bid must be submitted via email to seone.jones@ibwc.gov prior to 3 PM on the due date. Glycerin percentage will be determined using standard methods including AOAC 977.20 (mod)*, ASTM 8I755, AOAC 977.20 (mod)+, and ASTM D 1252-95. Potential bidders should be prepared to demonstrate a strong performance history, as negative ratings or failure to provide performance documentation could disqualify their proposal. The solicitation suggests this is a federal contract, likely with the International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC) based on the email domain.
