About this file

This is a California Civil Rights Laws Certification document required by the State of California for contractors and bidders executing or renewing contracts exceeding $100,000 on or after January 1, 2017, in connection with the Boat Boarding Float Replacement project at McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park. The certification confirms the bidder's or proposer's compliance with applicable California civil rights legislation as a condition of contract award and execution.

The document requires certification of compliance with two primary statutes: the Unruh Civil Rights Act (California Civil Code Section 51) and the Fair Employment and Housing Act (California Government Code Section 12960). Additionally, bidders must certify that any internal policies regarding sovereign nations or peoples recognized by the United States government are not applied in violation of these civil rights laws. The certification must be executed by an authorized representative of the bidding firm under penalty of perjury, with the signatory providing their printed name, title, and the county and state in which the certification is executed. The document requires inclusion of the proposer's firm name, Federal ID number, and signature of the authorized representative, establishing a binding compliance attestation as a prerequisite to contract participation.
