About this file

This document is an Addendum No. 1 for the Buffalo Public Schools P.S. #72 Lorraine Elementary Lighting Upgrades project, issued by CPL (Architecture, Engineering, Planning) with project numbers R24.16869.00 and SED Project No. 14060001-0072-010. The addendum addresses multiple requests for clarification from potential bidders, including specifics about allowances, work scope, project requirements, and technical details for the lighting upgrade project. Key clarifications include confirming a $40,000 contingency allowance and $33,000 additional allowance, specifying that the project involves both material and installation, and establishing that work will be performed during 2nd shift hours between approximately 3:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

The addendum requires the electrical contractor to be responsible for the National Grid lighting and controls rebate incentive process, including submission of application and approved submittals. The contractor must include time and resources for this process in their bid and cannot reflect anticipated rebate incentives in the bid price. The project involves replacing existing fluorescent lamps with LED equivalents, removing and turning over certain light fixtures to the owner, and providing new ceiling tiles in rooms where fixture quantities have changed. The electrical contractor will also be responsible for lighting control wiring and coordinating specific technical details across multiple project drawings.
