QUESTIONS AND ANWERS

Regarding FAR 52.228-10 Vehicular and General Public Liability Insurance (Apr 1984):

Q1. Should we submit the liability insurance that meets the specifications you’re requiring with our quote?

A1. The quote does not need to include a copy of the insurance policy, providing the quote is acknowledgment of the clause/provision requirements of the solicitation. However, the vendor may be required to provide a copy of the insurance policy at time of award.

Q2. Is the prime contractor required to maintain the insurance, or can we use our subcontractor’s insurance?

A2. The insurance is required to be maintained by whoever will be performing the transportation of the chemicals.
