About this file

This document details the required salient characteristics for an ultra-long-range business jet for the FBI. The aircraft must have a minimum 7000nm demonstrated range, capable of carrying 12 passengers, 3 crew, and 1000 lbs of cargo. Specific performance requirements include a takeoff distance of 6200 feet, a normal cruise speed of 0.83 Mach (preferred 0.85 Mach), and comprehensive communication systems including redundant in-flight internet, satellite phone, multiple radio types, and datalink capabilities.

The cabin configuration mandates two lavatories, a crew rest seat, a galley with microwave and refrigerator, and preferably four cabin zones with solid zone dividers. Additional preferred features include a dedicated crew rest area with layflat seats. Aircraft age requirements specify 2500 hours or less, manufactured in 2020 or newer. These specifications align with the FBI's need for a high-performance aircraft to support counterterrorism efforts and sensitive global missions, with delivery required by June 24, 2026.
