1. Are online courses acceptable?

The preferred method of instruction for The Women College Program shall be conducted via in-person, face to face at the specified institutions in the original Statement of Work. The Statement of Work indicates the contractor shall also make distance learning (correspondence and/or online) available upon request from the BOP when special conditions warranted.

2. If online courses are acceptable, are both synchronous and asynchronous courses acceptable? (Synchronous courses have live video and a live remote instructor. They meet at a designated time. Asynchronous courses have recorded video. Students do not interact with the instructor live, and can work on the course material on their own schedule.)

When requested by the BOP, both synchronous and asynchronous courses can be offered.

3. How many courses will students take at a time? How many courses are they expected to complete annually?

Inmate students are part-time students. 3-4 courses maximum per semester/quarter. This answer does not represent a guarantee to the contractor. This is an estimate and could change.
